Fall Flavors Arrive at Tulla: Fig, Shakshuka, Pumpkin & Tiramisu

This weekend at Tulla Patisserie & Cafe in Frisco, we are welcoming the season with two special pastries that take our love of traditional pastry in two very different directions. One is warm, savory and inspired by the flavors of shakshuka. The other brings together fresh figs, creamy goat cheese and rosemary honey.

Shakshuka Meets French Pastry

Our Shakshuka Danish takes the comforting flavors of the classic dish and gives them a Tulla pastry twist.

We start with beautifully laminated Danish pastry, baked until the layers become crisp, flaky and deeply golden. Inside is a savory tomato sauce with peppers and onions, finished with an egg baked right into the center.

Cut into it and you discover all those layers at once. Buttery pastry gives way to the rich tomato and pepper filling and egg in the middle.

It is savory, comforting and just a little unexpected, which is exactly the kind of weekend special we love creating at Tulla.

For our second special, we went in an entirely different direction.

Our Fig Danish with Goat Cheese & Rosemary Honey balances sweet, savory and creamy flavors on top of layers of crisp, buttery pastry.
